I recently saw the text "I am on PreP" in the dating apps, that I sometimes check up upon, as I am single and gay.

I had to learn more about it after a long life living with the fear of getting HIV, if I should have an unprotected sexual expierence with another guy.

I live in Denmark, and here it is supported by the healthcare system, that you can get the medicine for free. I don''t know, how it is in other countries, but I feel lucky.

Of course you are not protected against other sexual diseases, but at least you can worry less about getting a life threatening disease.
